What is AntiGravity® and Aerial Yoga?
It is an acrobatic performance that uses the silk hammock as your dance partner, guiding you while you explore your own inner dancer. Pilates and yoga techniques have been fused to create a sequence that will help you to get in shape while releasing you from the compression of gravity.
I fell in love with the silk hammock from the first time I explored AGAY. When practising inversions, they flowed so effortlessly and my spine was fully protected throughout.
When you open up space in your body, you open up space in your mind. When you open space in your mind you release judgement and regret and you’re able to experience life and pleasure in abundance!

What to expect?
So, how do you prepare to have your world turned upside down? Like every brand new experience, it’s important to come with an open mind, listen to the instructions and trust your hammock. This apparatus has been designed to hold up to 400kg in weight. Your safety is our first consideration!

Pregnancy, glaucoma, recent surgery, irregular heart function, very high or low blood pressure, easy onset vertigo, fainting, carpal tunnel syndrome, sinusitis hiatal hernia, recent stroke, botox (in the last 6 hours).
Precautions and preparation for your classAll participants must remove jewellery and any clothing with buckles or snaps that might snag the hammock. Classes are taken either barefoot or with yoga socks and tight fitted clothing is preferred in order to check the body for alignment. It is recommended that the clothing should cover the legs, waist and armpits in order to minimise friction burns from the fabric. Try and eat nothing two hours before the session.
Firstly we work on building your strength through smooth, fluid movements using the silk hammock. Secondly, you will experience a deep aerial stretch. We close each class with a cocoon meditation. You will leave the hammock feeling tall, toned and in love with your hummock. Don’t be surprised if you get hooked on this amazing, life changing experience of Yoga!
